What are the defects?
A defect in the backrest reclining mechanism may result in the back support of the wheel chair partially rotating back or possibly rotating to horizontal.
What are the hazards?
Unexpected movement of the backrest may cause the user discomfort or potentially result in an injury.
What should consumers do?
Consumers should immediately cease the use of the power wheelchair, and return all affected wheelchairs to the place of purchase to have a replacement reclining mechanism fitted to the wheelchair.
