I think it would be useful for Choice to rate brands overall in a particular large group such as white goods. Choice could summarise the data of their tests for all goods in this sector and see which brands are in the top 3 of all/most tests.
Useful for buyers. Just a thought
Sometimes a brand might have products in the top few most times, but also could have some real clunkers most times. Just highlighting the brands could cause a false sense of security when one buys a top brand but a dodgy product. There are already brand satisfaction and reliability scores in many of the reviews.
Hi David, we’ve recently started what you have suggested (with some more criteria, such as brand reliability, considered). For example, TVs: https://www.choice.com.au/electronics-and-technology/home-entertainment/tvs-and-projectors/articles/best-brand-television

Thank you That is just what I was after and I see that going over the whole white good range would be a problem. But for TV’s there are 2 clear leaders and you show why.
Have you done similar things for other widely tested products?
Well done Choice!
Hi David, we’ve also done fridges: https://www.choice.com.au/home-and-living/kitchen/fridges/articles/best-brand-fridge. Other categories are in the pipeline.
Excellent Scott, way to go Choice. You may choose to do a summary of the top 3 or 5 brands (rated of course) for various white goods. So far I have seen TV’s and fridges. No doubt there are more
What about washing machines, driers, HWSvacuum cleaners, computers (difficult one), air conditioners perhaps into two split and central,
