Promotional competitions expired but still luring in sales

Whatever their logistics ,it’s deceptive advertising when customers are being mislead. “Dunk for your chance to win” should not be used to entice sales where no chances to win currently exist(because competition ended). There’s every right to complain to store manager as they are your first point of call and they are responsible for what they stock and how they display it. If they say the promotion is out of date, tell them to remove it! They should put an expired sticker over such signs if they want to keep the display.
Legally, they dodge issues through clever wording. There is no promise of chances to win , only a directive to try. But even legally it could be argued that it is too vague and therefore misleading without them actually lieing.
