Whilst researching plants that are toxic to dogs so as to protect our new puppy, I was extremely surprised to discover that avocados are highly toxic to birds.

I was surprised to find that phenol is toxic to cats. The active ingredient in Dettol is cholroxylenol, so what’s fine for you or me isn’t good for the cat. I gather something similar is true for dogs.
