Peeled hard Boiled Eggs

Just sometimes difficult to do well

When in a rush and not cooling the hard boiled egg sufficiently, it’s easy to damage it, especially while trying to remove the inner membrane.

FWIW I peel hard boiled eggs under a cold running tap. Usually works.
I prefer to do this myself, but others might find the already cooked and peeled ones a better option.

After seeing a tip on a cooking show a few years ago, we place the hard boiled eggs one at a time into a screw top peanut paste jar, add a little water, and shake the jar in all directions.

Most times the cracked shell easily peels away with the membrane attached.

Much quicker and more successful than hand peeling them.

This is reminiscent of the sliced apple I was served on a plane. Of course it had to be packed in plastic and had some kind of antioxidant to stop it going brown. SMH

We used to get Weiss bars served up on our regional flights. Prior to that Dixie cups and even prior to that ear plugs for our personal pleasure on the Saab turbo props.

We can but dream on of days long past. Suspect today’s flights only the emergency card will be provided free of charge. Oh for a free peeled hard boiled egg meal.
