Mayonnaise - What brand or type do you buy?

Make sure you don’t consume it at 09/01/2019 07.35:01, or one may quickly find out what will happen!

Suspect that since it is best before date, its flavour or nutritional profile will change dramatically.

Indeed!

I’m always bemused (and sometimes annoyed) by spurious accuracy such as that.

And such as recipes converted from US/imperial to metric where the original used 1 lb and metric version specifies 454g, rather than rounding to 450 or even 500g.

Was the original 1 lb really meant to be that precise?

Hi there
Here is their response:
1_/ natural flavour: no further detail information from supplier as we don’t need it_

2/ Aquafaba (refer to below definition from Wikipedia)

Aquafaba (/ˌɑːkwəˈfɑːbə/) is the viscous water in which legume seeds such as chickpeas have been cooked.

Due to its ability to mimic functional properties of egg whites in cooking, aquafaba can be used as a direct replacement for them in some cases, including meringues and marshmallows. Its composition makes it especially suitable for use by people with dietary, ethical, or religious reasons to avoid eggs, such as vegans.
Strange that they say they do not need clarification for “natural flavour”!!

Do you need to eat it before that date/time or does it need to have been ‘fully processed’ by the body by that time? seriously, imagine putting a time there - typical software developer, “give us exactly x time from…” and they did …

without any doubt - that’s the best one.
it may be a bit more expensive compared to others, but the taste is definitely incomparable.
