What are the defects?
The battery may fail and overheat and the battery casing may melt and this could lead to a fire.
What are the hazards?
If the battery overheats and causes a fire this increases the risk of serious injury, death and/or property damage.
What should consumers do?
INS LifeGuard will contact affected consumers directly, to arrange for the affected product to be returned for inspection, and where necessary repair and/or for the battery to be replaced, free of charge.
