What are the defects?

The product does not comply with the requirements of the mandatory standard ‘Consumer Goods (Trolley Jacks) Safety Standard 2017’. The overload protection does not meet Australian standards. Incorrect labelling on the product or packaging may result in misuse of the product.

What are the hazards?

Use of a trolley jack with non-compliant overload protection may lead to a vehicle collapsing on a consumer, causing severe injury or even death. Misuse of trolley jacks because of incorrect labelling may also lead to vehicles collapsing on a consumer.

What should consumers do?
