ID and Privacy Risks when Selling on Line

I can see that plate OK.

Some vehicle slide shows have a mix of blurred and visible number plates. A very select few appear to have the plates painted out by the owner. Private sales selected, as dealers may be different.

The previous two sales we made through car sales web site had no advice to blur or hide number plates. I recall some years past having to provide a clear shot of the number plate. Obviously this has changed, although there is no consistency on their site.

It is not a GumTree scam we are discussing, which might be denigrating GumTree. It is about misuse of vehicle identification/privacy risks when selling a vehicle?

Correct. It applies more or less the same to any online selling of cars.
