Trans fats are bad for our health, we explain why below. Do you think it’s time they were labelled?

Should they be part of the nutrition panel labelling? Yes! without a doubt they should be included. I think we should at the very least adhere to the WHO time table and ban the addition/incorporation of Trans Fats in our food supplies. Trouble that we have though is Govt/Health authorities inaction on many of the Worldwide health concerns eg excess sugar.

I have noticed that some manufacturers/branded products report trans fats while others don’t. I feel more comfortable in buying products which have such breakdowns than other similar products where information is all rolled into totals.

Fortunately our consumption of trans fats are low as we tend to avoid overly processed foods.

I think that generally the ones that do it are the ones with low levels of trans fats. Manufacturers of products with high levels of TFs probably don’t want consumers to know!
