An article regarding things that consumers can do to help prevent their residences from being burguled.
There have been quite a few break and enters in our area despite it being one of the better ones, and we occassionaly see grubs walking along the reserve behind our home who are obviously casing the neighbourhood.
We have security screens on all external doors and windows and deadlocks on the doors, and we make sure that they are securily locked at all times.
We double check that all doors are locked before going to bed or when going out, unlike a nearby resident who told me how he didn’t bother to lock his back security screen door as he was just going to a nearby house for a few minutes, but when he returned shortly thereafter, his new 4WD was gone.
My wife said that she would be too embarrased to tell anyone that she had done anything so foolish.
