“Good Value” ? Hmmm not convinced. 13" i5 8G 256SSD… think there are plenty of better value options out there. Seems like you are paying a fair premium for the innovation; modularity; gimmick?.. The upgrade possibilities may bite too if the Co in this form doesn’t last the distance yeh?

That looks like a decent deal… if you plan to upgrade your hardware and if the maker stays around long enough to provide you with those upgrade paths.
In terms of value for money, it’s not a great laptop when starting out. The value comes a few years down the road when you need to upgrade. Even then, you would probably need to get at least two upgrade cycles out of it to justify the initial price as I expect the product-specific upgrade parts will be similarly priced at a premium.
I would say it’s a good idea whose time has not yet come. Wait until right to repair laws bite in some of the larger jurisdictions (e.g. EU, California) and see what mainstream manufacturers come up with.
