Dodgy sales of life insurance lead to $1.5m in refunds

This seems to have largely flown under the radar, but reinforces that no salesperson nor company can be trusted to always provide a fair deal.

They trusted Westpac. Westpac gouged them. They went for it. Was that really Westpac’s fault?

There has to be a case for financial literacy to be introduced into the standard high school curriculum, but guess who has their backs up at the idea?
