The garments were previously the subject of recalls on 22 October 2015 (PRA2015/14946), 23 February 2017 (PRA2017/15914) and 2 June 2019 (PRA2019/17548) for failing to meet the mandatory standard for childrenās nightwear burning behaviour requirements.
What are the defects?
The garment does not comply with the requirements of the mandatory standard āConsumer Goods (Childrenās Nightwear and Limited Daywear and Paper Patterns for Childrenās Nightwear) Safety Standard 2017ā.
The garment burns too quickly to be considered safe and does not meet the fibre content requirements.
What are the hazards?
The garment may pose a risk of serious burns or death to the wearer.
What should consumers do?
Consumers should immediately stop using the product and return the garment to Designworks for a full refund.
