What are the defects?

On some vehicles, it has been identified grease was not applied to the slide pins of the front wheel brake calipers. If the outer Brembo brake pad is continually used under the defect conditions, it cannot be fully returned after the brake operation and wear is accelerated. In worst case, the outer pad may detach from the vehicle.

What are the hazards?

If the outer brake pad detaches it may cause a hazard to other road users and reduced brake efficiency which in turn will increase the risk of an accident and/or injury or death of vehicle occupants and other road users.

What should consumers do?

Owners are asked to contact any Authorised Daimler Commercial Vehicle Dealership who will inspect the Brembo brake pads and if required, replace them free of charge.
