Costco gurus - we need you!

As dds said, the items that Woolies and Coles discount heavily aren’t worth it, so the items that the big chains never appear to discounted are where Costco comes in. e.g. The lovely Preshafruit juices are about the same price at Costco, but you get 2 litres instead of 1.

Also, Costco often has food items that are produced exclusively for them. I’ve never tried one that wasn’t excellent, whereas own-brand Coles and Woolies items can be of a pretty low standard.

We think Costco membership is worthwhile.

DO BUY’s
We get our $60 back very easily by filling with fuel each time we visit.
Regular purchases are vitamins, roast chicken, curry meals, salmon, socks, underwear, golf gloves (half price),
Other good purchases include tyres, sales of brand name polo tops, jeans, slacks, shirts are bargains.
Got a fantastic Kirkland aluminium, adjustable sack truck for a bargain.
Many Kirkland items are very good quality (as well as cheap).
Always good to look around for the one-off bargains.
Lunch from the food servery.

DON’T BUY’s
Haven’t seen any electrical bargains yet
soft drinks (Coles, Woolies specials are better)

SUGGESTION
They need an express lane or two for purchase of less than 8 items.

Costco Australia online has been gaining products over time. It appears most products are available to anyone and some are listed as ‘members only’ without the price being shown without a login. All prices look like they include delivery. The number of ‘non-member’ products suggests they have joined the ‘marketplace’ fulfilment mode of operation regardless of whether Costco does the billing or not.

Has anyone bought from Costco online who can confirm or correct my impression?
