Clicking change password generates error notification

Thanks for the invite, upon setting my preferences I click on change password to what I thought would be the option to choose my own unique password but I just get a sending email message and then an error msg after it.

I’ve checked my email address is correct and it is but no email has come through with instructions or a link to be able to change it.
