Whilst buying some frozen Peking duck pancakes at a local Asian supermarket, I noticed packs of Bento Spicy Larb on the counter.
When I added a pack to the pancakes, the young Asian lady asked me if I liked “spicy” twice as she seemed surprised that I would eat them.
I said yes and that I even like Tom Yum soup.
I tried some of it last night and my tongue was on fire for 30 minutes.
I noticed a tip on the back of the pack which read “More delicious when put in freezer”.
I thought that it referred to the product, but with the benefit of hindsight, I now believe it means putting your tongue in the freezer before and after eating them.
It makes Tom Yum soup seem like ginger ale.
