Pictured is the packaging of Global Seafood Distributors Australia Pty Ltd, frozen Basa Fish Fillets, 800g, product of Vietnam, Best Before 30/9/2020.
The energy, I suspect, is in calories, but incorrectly listed as kj. The CSIRO database has 100g Basa fillet as 79cal / 332kj - the package has 80kj per 100g.
I also noticed that the nutrition panel claims 10 serves per package, each of 100g (total 1kg in a 800g pack). The contents actually weigh 950g - but perhaps 150g of that is ice/water. There were 6 fillets (133g ea).
The low kj was initially enticing, until I realised it was too low to be true. I have sent the company an email regarding this error. Will see what they say.
