What are the defects?
The auxiliary heater element in the air conditioner may fail as a result of overheating in the area of the connectors.
What are the hazards?
If the heater element in the air conditioner overheats, this may lead to smoulder damage or potentially a fire.
What should consumers do?
Audi Australia Pty Ltd is contacting all known owners of affected vehicles. Consumers should contact their nearest Audi Dealer to arrange for inspection and replacement of the heater element and update the software on the air conditioner control unit.
