I read with interest the review on lawn mowers, I did not realise my brand (Kubota) was not mentioned. They are still made and as my 5 hp push mower, is still going strong since new in 1979, I would rate it as100% satisfaction, both for performance and reliability. It did play up recently, but after changing the spark plug for the first time since new, I suppose I cannot complain.
Now in my late70’s I might by a walk behind from the same Company as it will likely see me out!

Choice reviews are useful but so are personal experiences.

I hope you have kicked off a great idea for a thread where people can talk about appliances, equipment, etc that are long lived. So I hope you don’t mind me changing your title slightly to invite more responses.
As @Gregr said, Choice tests are great, but user experiences give us so much information about lived quality, support services, spare parts availability, and of course longevity.
