Just wondering what others think regarding codeine law changes.
Re - codeine law change planned to require prescription. I’m in 2 minds here. Firstly have been advised that the doses sold, in Australia, have no clinical impact above paracetamol. I’ve found them effective, but allow for placebo effect where I expect it to work more. On the other hand I think it’s ridiculous to pay to visit a gp for these tablets. Some abuse them but you are likely to see an increase in stronger illegal drugs by many of these people as well as some Dr shopping.
